Delicious, Creamy, Sweet BUT Healthy!

Grapefruit Ice Cream

So I’ve already come clean with my addiction….Ice Cream.


But it’s crazy full of calories, sugar, preservatives and generally bad for you items.

Enter my solution; Greek Yogurt with all manor of additives.

For this particular recipes you will need to take a little bit of time to peel your grapefruit. I like to de-skin, un-skin the individual segments of grapefruit so there is no chewy and bitter pieces messing up my delicious ice cream.

NUTRITIONAL BREAKDOWN                                                      108 Calories

  • Medium Red Grapefruit________________________ 81 calories
  • 3 Tbsp Oikos Non-Fat Greek Yogurt, Plain__________  26 calories
  • 1/8 tsp Imitation Coconut Flavoring______________ 0 calories
  • Splenda / Zero Calorie Sweetener________________  0 calories


Put your yogurt into whatever container you plan to freeze your ice cream in

Add your coconut flavoring and sweetener

Stir, Mix, get it all creamy and blended

Add in your grapefruit, gently so you don’t have mushed grapefruit but nice whole segments

Place in the freezer and attempt to wait for it to freeze. Sometimes I have more patience then other times. Once I ate mine before it had a chance to chill….shame…..but so good!

It is the best afternoon treat when you’re craving something sweet or after a spicy dinner when your tongue, mouth and esophagus needs a cooling down.
